Super pleasant space with friendly service. Try the locally produced wine, great Sangiovese. Honest and delicious pasta - simple, but amazingly good. Highly recommended if you’re in Lucca.

Beautiful landscape surrounding the tables outside, vineyards all around. Would recommend outdoor seating compared to indoor. Very well mannered service and good charcuterie selection. Prices a little higher than usual but considering most ingredients are “farm to fork”, totally understandable. Recommended.

I love this place, the food and the persons working there. So much quality, fresh and local products (which is so rare and precious), even the wine and the olive oil are made on the same location. Freshly baked bread, good water... This restaurant has an ecological conscience. Also, their menu has plenty of vegetarian options. The whole team is so kind and attentive. Thank you for running such a beautiful place. There's a theatre at the Scompiglio place, with such good programmation also. Assisting to a piece and then enjoying some food at the restaurant after... wonderful

Loved this place! If you’re in Lucca get the bus there, but get directions from the ticket office to get the right E18 bus. Not easy! Tell the driver exactly where you are going!! Terrific set up, spectacular scenery food and wine. A real must do for lunch.

I have the luck of having lunch here almost every Friday, together with my colleagues from office. Wonderful place, surrounded by hills and trees, with a very good kitchen having both traditional local food and attention to recent tendencies and discoveries regarding the quality and origin of food. All ingredients come from nearby or are directly produced by them, like their typical wine, "Lavandaia", which is produced by grapevines salvaged by the Scompiglio team from wild vegetation after they were abandoned long ago. Not too cheap but more economic than most famous (and yet rarely so good) restaurants. The place is also sometimes the location of art installations and unconventional representations. Absolutely suggested....and yes,I'm a great fan ;)

Avoid at all cost, worst food I had in an restaurant in this country.Even though the terrace was empty we were not allow to sit outside as we had no reservation, when we left, it was still empty. Pity, as the location is great it seems to be leaning towards hippyish style but food is terrible
